Rachel’s back for another week and we start right off with Dork Korner. This is our little turn at hitting the switch on the Wayback Machine and seeing who has some of the dorkiest likes or memories. Yeah I just said Wayback Machine. Did I mention it was Dork Korner? OK now you get it. We’re deeply disappointed in a recent Air Canada Lawsuitwhich brings on plenty of language related discussion. We also go into Canada’s very careful preparations for commemorating the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and the role it played. If you don’t know, just ask any Canadian. They’ll gladly tell you just who it was that burned down the White House. Oh but we’re still friends so it’s all good. Victoria proposes a way to get back at GOP’s use of “Obama Care” as a negative phrase.

We discuss our morning at the Birch Aquarium, followed by lunch at Sammys Woodfired Pizza. Is it wrong to spend all morning looking at fish and then eat salmon for lunch? Photos from this adventure can be found here. No, just click the word HERE. WOW I feel like I’m back at work. OK, moving on. We discuss the new Google+, Rhian’s busy week and the now VERY distantly past MLB All-Star Game. Yeah, that’s right. I totally missed discussing it when it was relevant.

Daniel brings up a new way to make gelatin…out of HUMANS! Really, were you THAT surprised? Rhian brings us some more Whore News, this time about tips and pointers about bromances. Daniel tries to go into a story about a boner-inducing spider that rampaged a supermarket but the girls would not allow it. So he’s putting the link here.

210: Pump Me Full of Beer and iCarly

Daniel’s sister, Rachel joins us for the summer! We go into a few TV shows we’re watching recently and a quick movie review. New York makes same sex marriage legal and we celebrate. We celebrate our “Jesus Birthday” this year. We play a cute phone message from a listener and future guest, Guitar Rob.

Victoria informs us that orcas and dolphins are the same. We also dscuss how they are assholes. Then we learn the ICP tries to put a stop to the UCB. Victoria brings an Awesome List and we’re all grateful! Rhian explains why Sims 3 is awesome and ways to cheat and “woohoo” in public. Malcolm runs for Mayor. A woman dies at her own funeral. We discuss baseball in Alaska and California pansies before diving into Whore News. This time a man joins the mile high club by himself!

204: All Yur Holes R Filled w/ Bad Puddins

Recorded April 10th, we start right off with an awesome beer from Irondale Brewery. Eunichs mess up Victoria’s head but we fix it with Corralejo resposado tequila. Eunichs as midgets? We move from eunichs to pregnant Juggalettes. Somehow this leads to a disturbing PSA. Warning, it’s worse than eunichs and pregnant Jugalettes.

I bring in things I learned from Podcasts. This includes but is not limited to new “facts” about St Patrick’s Day, STDs caught from Thrift Store clothes, sex with an epileptic at a rave and using Cadbury Eggs in ways they were not intended. Victoria gives an invite to all involving their exposed selves and dulce de leche. We have a question for the audience: Can you get throat STDs? I’m thinking herpes might be a possibility but what about others?

Beer of the Week: Irondale Brewery Johnny Mo’s Tres Vieux IPA (204): An unfiltered IPA, Victoria and Daniel love this beer! Great IPA. Rhian says it’s strong but tastes good and this is coming from a wine whore. Victoria says it smells like pot (hops anyone?) and Daniel keeps praising it. As IPAs go, one of our favorites and a solid 5 out of 6 if not higher.

Victoria brings up e-cigarettes and how they’re becoming popular among some of our friends, and raises them with the e-pipe. Birthday present idea: E-Pipe, smoking jacket and an ascot. Victoria asks question number two to the audience: What do Transformers Zombies eat? Rhian offers the theory that Transformer corpse disposal is the cause of the troubles in Japan right now.

Victoria Beckham is trying to name their youngst daughter “Santa”. Santa Beckham. Cause Beast-Man or Evil-Lynn was already taken, Skeletor? Nothing good can come of this! Daniel talks about the start of baseball, soccer and the NHL Playoffs. Victoria wrongly guesses that I have a thing for gold and green. I like ONE team with those colors! Pay more attention, whore! Talk of NFL mascots brings up hot dogs shot from guns like t-shirts. Cause no one wants to be hit in the eye by a hot weiner.

Rhian brings us an article and some Whore News. First up, The Onion parodies Canada. This brings up a fun CBC Special by Rick Mercer called “Talking To Americans”. We discuss how the Bloc Quebecois are corndogging it when it comes to life in general. We segue into whore news by discussing’s Rhian’s past “moments” with hockey players. We hear about Blood-Scented Perfume and how we’re Living In the Corgi Epoch. We end the show with an awesome Awesome List and say hi to all of our friends. Check out the shows on our sidebar. They’re awesome!

201: Wow, I Thought It’d Be Bigger

Rhian returns again for another episode of Uncast! In fact, the show starts with talk of her evolution as a guest on the show. We enjoy a little beer and a little backtalk as always. Add in a night of drinking, Rhian’s first viewing of “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” and a day of sun and margaritas. Mix in a grooming decision gone wrong, a dessert pairing of the Gods and The Academy Awards.  Victoria brings us a few things from her mind, Daniel brings things he learned from podcasts and we share a sports moment before ending it all with Whore News.

194: An Evil Warlock Named Santa

Christmas episode! We start off with Victoria wanting alcoholic candies and we jump into some awesome beers that we got from Masters of None. We briefly discuss Don’t Ask Don’t Tell being repealed but what can we say other than, “YAY! It’s about time!” So we jump into what I thought would be a short bit on the Periodic Table getting a makeover and well, shit blew the fuck up.

Victoria brings out her theory on elves and this, like blooms into pure genius if we do say so ourselves. Santa’s year long identity MAY be revealed in this episode. We discuss a few o our favorite Christmas traditions and memories. Victoria wants to take down the old Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer TV Special and frankly I can’t argue with her. I try to talk about sports a bit but that falls flat and we end the show with a SPAM call to our Google Voice line. See what happens when you peeps don’t call? You only have yourself to blame.

So call us already! 619-940-4SEX (4739) or leave a comment on uncast.net

187: I Heart Kim Deal

Butch joins us fresh from his gig at Bootie in San Francisco. This was recorded two weeks ago. Yes, I know. You don’t need to say it. Now moving on we start out with some beer, lots of pop culture references throughout the show and a bit about a ballplayer with an attitude problem. Surprised? Victoria watched a movie from 1985 and folks get confused by a movie in 2010.

This week in news includes a crazed man and Hurricane trying to take control of the east coast and how both failed. We learn that Canadians aren’t always nice and what can happen when hackers fail to learn how to spell. Hint: Teddy Bears pay the price. After Daniel goes all ‘Boo hoo’ when his topics fall flat, Butch regales us with tales of his latest gig, how he discovered Mash-Ups and a surreal 25 hours that would make Jack Bauer’s head spin. You want the time on all this? How about just over 90 minutes?

186: The Freilich Maneuver

So check this one out. There’s beer, 2010’s “Read-A-Book” and some talk of Lil Wayne’s autotune dependency. Victoria brings us a science segment with “clean drinking” and we also read some listener comments. This is followed by a few movie reviews, some sports from Daniel and a documentary we shared as a family.

After all that we still have time to tell you how your bathroom posture affects your health. Daniel brings some more things he learned from podcasts. We learn about the rise and fall of quicksand and Victoria has an Awesome List!

183: Circle Jerk of Podcasts

We start right off discussing beers, ice cream and Mother Teresa’s vagina. What sort of tools did they use in the Flintstone’s world for shaving the vagina, vibrators, etc? Victoria asks about the whole Juggalo community to understand just why we laugh so hard at them. Victoria decides she wants a moat and a menagerie of fantastical animals.

Victoria went to Comic-Con 2010 to meet 4 out of her top 5 guys and her top 2 women. This was highly unfair given that I had to work but we get to live it through her. I learned a few things from podcasts including discussion of the “Circle Jerk of Comedy Podcasts”. Victoria tells us about some words that she gets mixed up with. We move on to e-readers, some sports news and Things that Canada Has Brought The World.

180: Fuck Your Face

We have Rachel and Victor on the show this week! Yeah, we’re just now releasing an episode from our birthday weekend. Rachel even calls us out on it. I swear I will get better about that. Please forgive some of the sound quality (sudden volume changes and heavy breathing) as we were having a bit of a problem getting the mics to behave.

We start out with Rachel being a fripple. We somehow segue that into women not understanding baseball and numbers and hidden ball tricks don’t work with purses and shoes. We go into Victor’s thoughts on his first trip through PETCO Park and the lack of communication about other events going on in the ballpark at the same time. PETCO Park is thus given a new nickname by Victoria: Douchebag Stadium.

Somehow we get sidetracked to our exHalf-Mormonism and the girls take the show off the rails for a moment before the girls propose leaving Uncast to do their own show, so I may be doing auditions soon for a new co-host. Supposedly, being 500 miles apart, they’d do a 4 hour show every day. When that happens, Uncast will have retired 3 times like Michael Jordan and come back to rock the house Favre style every time.

Going back to baseball, there’s some ballpark talk about location and attraction of a park and Fenway Park comes up. We also get into upper deckers and the Philly Phanatic. Another awkward transition to reverse vampires. Victoria is going to Comic-Con and trying to touch Nathan Fillion without getting arrested. Add to that the nearly endless list of other hot geek-fan legends that will be there, the Glee Panel, the Merlin panel and the screening of “Once More With Feeling” and I may have to mop Victoria off the Convention Center floor.

We jump into REALLY OLD World Cup News: Rachel loves vuvuzelas, before getting into even older news…the games. More numbers means Victoria is more confused. She is into the Spanish footballers and thinks the Nigerians are also cute but afraid of the scams they’d pull.

We discuss birthday weekend with the San Diego International Beer Festival, the birthday party, some brewery visits and awesomeness. First, is it so hard to make the servers you hire at your festival know at least enough about the beers they’re serving? It was great seeing Jim Crute again at Lightning Brewery and we always enjoy their beers. Ballast Point gave Victoria smiles with their smoked ale. Zocalo Grill gave us an AWESOME dinner and then there was the party.

Victoria’s bubble bar idea was a smash hit and Porn Of Fortune is a fun party game. Of course Tings came out and we had to play a few rounds of that. Victor enjoyed the bourbon bacon ice cream and it got him nice a cozy. The party went out to the patio while four of us kinda crashed out early and Vudell crashed out for the second time in three years. Victor goes on about his excitement over the iPhone 4 and it’s kinda cute so check it out. We hit up Studio Diner for brunch and learn that a huge ass burrito is the best thing when you’re hungover.

Victoria goes into a rant and tirade about the LeBron James situation and we learn after the show that Jay-Z is actually part owner of the New Jersey Nets and not the New York Knicks. Finally ending on the three wise men and saying goodbye after an hour, 15 minutes and 29 seconds.

177: I Just Like Their Balls

Welcome to Mancast III! Butch joins us while Victoria is out of town. We start out talking celebrity deaths and the first bad joke comes just 85 seconds into the show. We discuss the barleywine from Alaskan Brewery and our favorite WTF from Lagunitas. From there we move onto our other love, bacon. Bacon Moon Pies and Gourmet Bacon Candies in fact. Butch discusses some of the great restaurants and bars that he’s discovered since the last time we heard from him. If you’re in San Diego, check out Noble Experiment and Prohibition for drinks and Cucina Urbana for a great meal.

We segue smoothly from food and drinks to a new segment on the show: Parents of the Week Award. We need your votes between the Stripper Mom or the Alcoholic Dad. Who wins this week’s award? We go from that to sports where the Stanley Cup Finals were still tied, the NBA Finals were still boring and baseball was the exciting talk of the day. This goes on for quite a while, so non-sports fans beware. Butch gives us his World Cup picks (Andrés Escobar DID get murdered) then we get to hear all that’s been goin down in the life and times of one DJ Brotherdarkness. This includes the every awesome Tabe BBQ (unofficial mobile cuisine of Uncast) and some possible block parties happening later this summer in San Diego. Catch him at Bootie San Francisco on August 28th. This one’s just over an hour, 45 minutes long!
